Next Monday, August 18, the first workshop of the CeramiTUR project will be launched in the city. The event will take place in Artesanía Talaverana and will be aimed at tourism professionals belonging to the Association of Official Tourist Guides of Castilla-La Mancha (APIT CLM).

This first meeting will focus on ceramic painting, one of the most recognizable signs of identity of Talavera de la Reina. Through a practical and participatory experience, tour guides will be able to learn first-hand about traditional techniques, experience the creative process and thus reinforce their knowledge of Talavera ceramics to transmit it to visitors and travelers.

The workshop is part of the CeramiTUR program, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Association of Ceramic Cities and coordinated at the local level by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, with the aim of turning the ceramic heritage into a living, structured and accessible tourist experience.

This first activity marks the beginning of a calendar of creative workshops that will be developed in different formats -presential and digital- and will be aimed at families, neighborhood associations, professional groups and visitors, encouraging interaction, learning and the link with the ceramic tradition.
