The Santos Timoneda Ceramics Factory will host the second session of the first complete CeramiTUR training course in the city, aimed at the Large Families Association of Talavera.
On this occasion, the participants will decorate the clay pieces they modeled in the first session held on August 19, thus completing all the phases of the handicraft process: modeling, firing and decoration. This comprehensive approach allows you to live the creative experience of ceramics from start to finish, learning about traditional techniques and appreciating the value of craftsmanship.
This course, conceived as a practical and intergenerational training, aims to bring ceramic heritage closer to families, strengthen the link with local tradition and foster pride in one of Talavera’s most emblematic trades.
The activity is part of the CeramiTUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Ceramic Cities and coordinated by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Tourism and Crafts, with funding from the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094.
