The mayor of Crafts and Tourism, Gelen Delgado, has advanced that today, August 28, will be held a ceramic decoration workshop designed to bring ceramics to families, which is included in the activities that these days are being carried out to promote our roots, wanting to sow in future generations a brand of tradition and culture under the CeramiTUR project.
The workshop is expected to accommodate 15 participants who can go through the ceramic process in its phase of traditional painting with Renaissance fretwork and decorative motifs of Talavera ceramics, hoping that everyone will have a nice time to share experiences that help in this family process of union and coexistence.
Once again we have counted on the help and collaboration of the city’s artisans who have joined this CeramiTUR project, demonstrating that there is not only art in their hands but also the illusion of teaching with their words the artisan tradition.
These activities are part of the CeramiTUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, which aims to turn the ceramic heritage into a lively, structured and accessible tourist experience, encouraging citizen participation and pride in Talavera ceramics.
CERAMITUR, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of December 14, 2020.
