New tourist mobile application

A new tourism mobile application has been launched in the municipality, combining technology and responsible tourism so that residents and visitors can discover the city in an interactive, accessible and sustainable way.

What the app offers

  • Geolocated thematic routes (Tajo River and Isla de la Cerámica, ceramic murals, historic quarter…).
  • 35 points of interest with information sheets, photo galleries, videos and multilingual audioguides (Spanish, English and French).
  • QR codes on monuments and landmark locations for easy mobile access to information.
  • Interactive maps with GPS tracking and offline mode.
  • Personalized recommendations based on preferences, available time and travel style (cultural, family, nature, gastronomy).
  • Integration with the city’s events calendar, accommodations and restaurants.
  • Compatible with Android and iOS.

Accessible and sustainable signage

The experience is complemented by QR signage plates at the main points of interest, made from sustainable and durable materials, providing direct access to audiovisual content and audioguides.

Smart destination management

The app includes a control panel for content management and tourism analytics based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (anonymous data on visit habits and flows). This enables the City Council to improve cultural offerings and services, and to optimize the visitor experience.
