Muñoz-Gallego explained that this project seeks to “optimize the management and dissemination of Talavera de la Reina as a smart tourist destination”, through the development of a series of optional reference modules materialized in the integration of a set of technologies and digital content and framed “in collaboration agreements and technological reuse with other local administrations”.
The councilman stressed that this project also has a dual objective, on the one hand “to improve the internal management of the tourism area from an integral vision” and, on the other hand, “to use technology as a public service tool”, improving dissemination, access to tourist information and the tourist experience, as well as promoting the differentiating aspects as a tourist destination.
To this end, we propose the adaptation and evolution of existing technologies to interoperate with the PID (Point of Digital Inclusion) and the development of new optional reference modules. For example, a new Web and APP with a tourist focus, the digitization of tourist resources, augmented reality, street map and tourist inventory, tourist route planner, enhancement of the museum of La Cerámica through new digital experiences, Data Space Tourism and Intelligent Signage for Tourism.
The councilman shared a table with the city councils of Oropesa and Toledo, and will soon announce the projects selected in this SEGITTUR call within the framework of the NEXT GENERATION grants.
