Today, Tuesday, August 19, will be held in Santos Timoneda a ceramics course organized for the Association of Large Families of Talavera, becoming the first full training course of the CeramiTUR project in the city.

During the session, participants will make a clay piece that, after firing, will be painted, thus completing all the phases of the ceramic craft process: modeling, firing and final decoration. This is a practical experience that will allow families to learn in depth about traditional techniques, experience the creative process from start to finish and strengthen their bond with the local ceramic heritage.

This workshop is part of the CeramiTUR program, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Tourism and Crafts, which aims to turn the ceramic tradition into a living, structured and accessible educational and tourist experience for all audiences.

This activity reinforces CeramiTUR’s calendar of creative courses, both face-to-face and digital, encouraging interaction, learning and pride in Talavera ceramics.
