The mayor of Tourism and Crafts, Gelen Delgado, has accompanied the 35 participants in the guided tour conducted by the murals of Talavera, whose motto was the participation and promotion of Social Inclusion, within the activities of CeramiTUR.

Two hours of accessible tour visiting ceramic architectural elements that stand out among our streets and squares, such as the most representative murals, and learning about the details, techniques and history of ceramics from Roman times to the achievement of achieving the Declaration of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

These activities are part of the CeramiTUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, which aims to turn the ceramic heritage into a lively, structured and accessible tourist experience, encouraging citizen participation and pride in Talavera ceramics.

CERAMITUR, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of December 14, 2020.
