The mayor of Tourism and Crafts, Gelen Delgado, has accompanied a total of 4 mothers and 12 children who have enjoyed teaching a ceramic decoration workshop within the proposals for inclusion carried out by the Ceramitur project.
The objective of bringing ceramics closer to children has been achieved in order to promote family unity and the roots of the citizens, trying that in the future we can count on the generational relay that our ceramics needs so much.
Within its activities CeramiTUR supports the inclusion of those children with difficulties and vulnerable in these days, to value the coexistence between art and family, tradition and culture.
A very valuable afternoon that we hope will leave its mark and continue with the promotion of activities so necessary for our city, showing the craft workshops from the inside and allowing ceramic artists to teach their work techniques and creativity.
These activities are part of the CeramiTUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, which aims to turn the ceramic heritage into a lively, structured and accessible tourist experience, encouraging citizen participation and pride in Talavera ceramics.
CERAMITUR, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of December 14, 2020.
