The Councilor for Crafts and Tourism of Talavera de la Reina, Gelen Delgado, has attended a new tour of the most representative ceramic murals of our city and those who have marked us in our history, accompanied by nearly fifty people who enjoyed a night walk.
During the tour, they were able to discover the rebirth of 16th century ceramics, feel the allegories that each author has impregnated in the murals and learn about the culture of Talavera and its traditional Mondas festival.
These nocturnal routes are complementary activities that through CERAMITUR try to bring our identity sign closer to all citizens and visitors who may feel such interest.
These activities are part of the CERÁMITUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, which aims to turn the ceramic heritage into a lively, structured and accessible tourist experience, encouraging citizen participation and pride in Talavera ceramics.
CERAMITUR, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of December 14, 2020.
