The Councillor for Crafts and Tourism, Gelen Delgado, invites to tour, tomorrow Saturday, the city and its murals to people with disabilities, which includes a visit to the Ruiz de Luna Museum and the pieces that compose it.
Once again, CeramiTUR, accompanied by the Association “Con otro Sentido”, will take to the streets, where we will tour the most representative points and we will be able to check in situ the accessibility of Talavera, its monuments and give the participants the feeling that Talavera is fighting to be independent in the access to our heritage.
This visit will help us to discover our strengths and weaknesses in the quality of service for people with disabilities and together we will learn the right way and build the Awareness Guide that is set as a goal at the beginning of this project of the Route of the Cities of Ceramics promoted by CeramiTUR.
These days we are learning to break down barriers, to be accessible and to provoke inclusion facilities for those people who do not feel on equal terms, causing all the agents involved to make enriching experiences for all abilities.
These activities are part of the CeramiTUR program, promoted by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and coordinated locally by the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, which aims to turn the ceramic heritage into a lively, structured and accessible tourist experience, encouraging citizen participation and pride in Talavera ceramics.
CERAMITUR, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of December 14, 2020.
First Anniversary of the designation of Talavera’s Ceramics
