The Councillor for Tourism, Gelen Delgado, explained that next Saturday will visit Talavera a Chinese delegation that seeks to encourage Chinese tourism in different parts of Spain.
The Mayor, José Julián Gregorio, will receive in the City Hall this delegation whose trip is promoted by the Hispano-Chinese Association for Exchanges and Developments whose president is Pedro Wang, who will come to Talavera.
It is a project called ‘Love and discover the thousands of cities in Spain’, an initiative to integrate the Chinese community in Spain, to increase dialogue and exchange with the authorities, reduce cultural gaps and promote local tourism in Spain, which is now in its tenth edition.
The association is considering the idea of publishing a book as a guide to explain the tourist points of interest for the Chinese community.
In addition to the president of the Hispano-Chinese Association for Exchanges and Developments, the president of the Chinese Culture Association of Qi Pao Spain, Guangcui Xu, the president of the Union of Chinese Associations in Usera of Spain, Enguan Chen, the president of the Association of Cantonese Citizens in Spain, Guohua Zhang and the president of the New Departure School, Shui Lian Jiang, among other members of these groups, will attend Talavera.
After a guided tour to see the most special corners of the city where Talavera ceramics abound and the reception at the Town Hall, there will be a parade of representatives of Qi Pao in traditional costumes to the Plaza del Reloj, where they will also be accompanied by the lion dance, and in that square, they will perform Chinese calligraphy.
